The Conference is organized by the Pole – Sustainable development and Mediterranean Territories – Paul Cezanne University. It is in the extension of the conference on the sustainable development in the Mediterranean space, organized in June, 2009, which allowed to put the stakes and the challenges with which are confronted the countries of the Mediterranean in terms of sustainability and to discuss on the way of answering them.
This new Conference wishes to emphasize original forms of research on the sustainable development around the concepts of vulnerability, equity and territorial creativity. It has for ambition to be at the same time a meeting between researchers and public and private actors and a space of debates and propositions where scientific analyses are confronted on these topics.
For every stake, a set of themes is proposed, whose list is not exhaustive. Three key concepts of reflection of the Conference (vulnerability, equity and territorial creativity) can be treated in an independent way. Nevertheless, the proposals which simultaneously integrate these questions, in reference to the sustainable development, will be favoured.
